CANCUN SENIOR CUP is the first amateur football tournament for veteran categories in Cancun. On its second edition, it will take place from September 11 to 16, 2011.

This football tournament calls for amateur teams from all over the world, with the aim of living a unique holiday experience in Cancun while having a good time playing football and making friends, bringing along your family as well.

It is played in two categories:

• Over 40 years old
• Over 50 years old

OBJECTIVES

The main objective of the tournament is to create great opportunity of playing football against teams from other countries and at the same time, spending some holidays with friends and family in an incredible place. The main premise of the tournament is Fair Play and friendship. That is why we include services to foster interrelations.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Teams visiting from other countries will be arranged by raffle in groups that will include at least one Mexican team, and preferably teams from other countries different from their own in order to make the competition more interesting and more “international”.

The tournament is played with a classificatory group round, semifinals and final game.

The tournament is organized by Futtrip, a Cancun based company.

CancunSeniorCup is supported by the Asociación de Fútbol del Estado de Quintana Roo, member of the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol. All games are sanctioned by referees of this association.
